Our first through fifth graders can join us when school is out to accomplish robotics missions!
This year (2016-2017) Foothill will:
- Participate in Wonder Workshop’s Animal Habitat Rescue Mission.
- Learn even more about animals with the FIRST Lego League, Jr’s Creature Craze challenge.
- Jump into the LEGO FIRST Animal Allies missions. (We will use this year to build our infrastructure for next year’s missions.)
- Learn about motors, sensors, actuators, control and programming with structured experiments.
Our Foothill coaches will use the Challenges as motivation to learn robotics concepts. The Foothill club is open to first through fifth grade students. Individual Wonder Workshop and Lego Robotics teams will be formed based on the age and the interest of the participants, but the emphasis will be on learning and on fun.
Sessions will be held in Room 19 after school twice monthly, and will alternate between Wednesday and Thursday dates in order to accommodate the most students. Our club may also meet on some weekend afternoons depending on interest and availability
