SATURDAY DEC 6th, 2014 – 11 AM
(Rain or Shine)
Downtown Los Gatos
Every year Foothill school participates in the Los Gatos Children’s Holiday Parade, along with other schools, bands and organisations from Saratoga, Los Gatos and neighboring communities.
It’s a lot of fanfare and fun, with fire engines and horse-mounted policemen, marching school bands and festive floats, plenty of kids dressed in their cheerful best and even an appearance by Santa Claus!
Please plan to join our school group in this fun and festive holiday tradition.
Dress Code: Foothill sweatshirts or T-shirts (or) Foothill colors of Blue & White; can be embellished with holiday accessories such as bells, colourful vests, Santa hats, etc, BUT NOT A SANTA COSTUME (only the official Parade Santa Claus is permitted to wear it).
Where & What Time: The parade begins at the corner of Almendra Ave and N Santa Cruz Ave, proceeding south along N Santa Cruz Ave to Main St, east on Main Street, ending at Church St.
Our school Entry Number is # 185. Please meet our group at the General Staging Area shown in Green in this PARADE MAP at 10:45 AM [plan for sufficient time to park – note that downtown and nearby access streets will be closed for traffic from early morning to late afternoon].
We suggest bringing some snacks and something to keep the kids occupied while waiting for the parade to get started and for our group to start walking.
The streets in the staging area will be marked with Entry Numbers by Thursday, December 4th. You may drive through the staging area in advance to see where our Entry will be staged.
For any assistance on Parade day, you may contact any Marshal wearing a bright green vest.
