One of the great things about being a Foothill Elementary PTA member is that you automatically become a member of both the California and National PTA’s. The California PTA just released a special edition Fall newsletter, with:
* Information about how to help your student get the most out of homework,
* Tips for parents of students with special needs,
* Ways to stop bullying,
* Information about the new Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF),
* and much more.
So far this year, our local Foothill PTA has just over 205 members. While the best reasons to join the PTA are the ability to speak with one voice for what is best for our kids, and also up-to-date information on how to make our schools better, PTA membership has lots of other perks. Way to go Foothill, and look forward to seeing you on our October 2nd meeting!
